To educate the student, the Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh has launched a scheme. By which the Bank wants to educate the student regarding bank notes and clean note policy. The Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh invites the student from the schools of the Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh for the essay competition to create awareness on banknotes and clean note policy. There are three categories-class-VI-VIII (Junior), class-IX-X (Middle) and Class- XI-XII (Senior)
Language: English, Hindi or Punjabi
Length of the essay: 1000 words for junior, 1500 words for middle and 2000 words for senior

For junior category- “How to keep Indian currency notes clean-crisp-your suggestion”
For middle category-“Quality of Indian currency Notes-experience and expectation”
For senior category-“The menace of forged notes-challenges before Reserve Bank and Government”

First prize Rs. 5000
Second prize Rs. 3000
Third prize Rs. 2000
Consolidation Rs. 500
Last Date: The principal of the schools should forward the essays to DGM, RBI by January 15. 2009
